FAMU has eleven study programmes: directing, documentary film, screenwriting, cinematography, editing, sound design, animation, producing, new media, and still photography, as well as FAMU International, which offers courses in English, including an MFA programme. FAMU is a founding member of CILECT, of the European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA), and of the European Association of Cinema and Television Schools GEECT (Groupement des Ecoles de Cinéma et de Televisoon).
