The Naive Theatre Liberec was established in 1949. Currently, the Naive Theatre is represented by an artistically mature group of 12 actors and an interesting board made up of guest directors, that in spite of its readily available resources, continuously search for new means of performing. Young creators are also given an opportunity to make their first artistic attempts. New productions are created with or without puppets, and with the use of masks or brand costumes. The Naive Theatre often performs at international festivals not only in the whole Europe, but also visited Mexico, India, Canada and Pakistan. The company offers about 20 productions in its repertoire, and performs more than 300 performances annually in its 200 seat space and on tours. It is also the organizer of the Mateřinka international festival, taking into focus the puppet performances for the pre-school age children.
